ARTIST BOOKS
What are they?
Artists books normally contain an array of art pieces by that certain person. These books can tell the reader a lot about that person from the work that is placed into these books. Artists books can be made, coloured and composed in any form, shape or way to create an understanding of that artist or person in the
form of a book.(There are some examples below)
as i mentioned before, these books can be created in any way, shape or form to create an understanding of the artist.
I have many ideas for my artist book, i have already started to use these ideas to make this book more interesting and characteristic.
some of my ideas are..
- i have stenciled a vintage pattern on my front cover in black and white to give my book a sort of old feeling.
- i want my book to be mostly about my experiences and feelings that go with them (hence the old time look)
- i am going to discolour the pages to help give that feeling.
- i have had some funny, scary, good and bad experiences and i want to capture that in my artist book.
- the experiences made me the person that i am today and i wnat people to know that.
- i have collected a lot of different things over the years and i want to include those sorts of things in my book and in my artwork.
those are just some of the ideas i have for my artist book.
